A fantastic day for clearing some of the site and beginning to see the space at the back of the acre for the potential serenity garden. 

After months of mud, snow and rain we suddenly entered the height of summer on Wednesday! 

There was plenty of industrious activity going on which was aided by having a dry day

At last, a glorious Spring day and on the official first day of Spring. Less than 48 hours ago the acre had been carpeted in a couple of inches of snow, but today it was spread before us with lots of growing wildflower and budding plants and trees.

Spring came to visit on our 'Volunteer Wednesday' and gave us a fleeting, tantalisingly brief experience of days that will soon be upon us

Today was one of those Wednesdays when the acre was visibly transformed as we had the digger on site.

Great progress was made on the acre today and it was enjoyable work as we could see the fruits of our labour taking shape.

What a contrast to last weeks Volunteering day...today was grey, wet and windy. We continued to make progress clearing the site in the 'secluded area' and it shows so much promise.

What a fantastic day on the acre; fresh air, scrub clearing, sun shine and a terrific fire!

The area we tackled today has opened up a larger than envisaged spot which is beautifully secluded. We have been thinking of how best to make use of it and how to compliment the acre.
