We run weekly wellbeing intervention sessions for secondary school children, providing a change from being in the classroom, which can be a challenge. The garden offers a calm, safe outdoor alternative to small groups who find the school environment overwhelming. Some of the children are neurodiverse and the wellbeing interventions are very much designed around reducing anxiety and making connections with themselves and others, as well as building confidence.
“space2grow has provided our students with a wonderful opportunity to participate in a Wellbeing intervention outside of the classroom. The whole environment is extremely welcoming, nurturing and supportive of the many difficulties facing children and adults in today’s climate … the students can’t wait for Fridays to come around as they are totally committed to completing the recycling greenhouse project … we have seen a huge impact on the students currently attending.”

Our annual BIG LUNCH has become a highlight of the year, celebrating our work with the children, families, volunteers and groups we support.
Our weekly 'wellbeing for teenager' groups from Weydon and Farnham Heath End secondary schools have been working on a project to create a magical fairy garden.
"Out of the house, off their devices, in the fresh air.
What's not to love about that?"
