Work on the pond continued this week with re-positioning of the liner. Leaves were raked and added to the leaf mulch and Frank kept everyone busy throwing his ball!
We received a wonderful new year gift! A South West Surrey Heroes Award from Jeremy Hunt for our contribution during the Covid pandemic. We're delighted and wanted to share the news with everyone involved in the project and say thank you!
After further review of the latest Government COVID guidelines and discussions with local referrers, group leaders and trustees we have agreed that we can keep our outdoor activities going to support the local community through this crisis.

A few words from Isobel about the yoga sessions; ‘We have completed our first couple of months of yoga in the beautiful Talking Shed on the acre. I would like to thank everybody who attended – you were all so brave for joining something new and for creating a brilliant couple of groups.’
On Monday Kelley & Kate hosted the final week of the current parenting course. It was lovely to hear how much the parents had enjoyed the sessions, learning little techniques and tips to help life at home be a little calmer.
Fruit buds, non-fruit bearing shoots, spurs, water shoots - what do these have in common? Thanks to John Negus a group of our volunteers are now well versed in why, how, when and what should be pruned on an apple tree!
Wednesday saw the return of different smells wafting out of the cabin as the cookery courses were underway. Six families from Potters Gate Primary School made chicken and mushroom pie and the smells and delight from the cabin were lovely on a dull November day.
